NGC 515 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 234 million light years from the Milky Way and about 95,000 light years across.
In the same area of ​​the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 517 , NGC 528 , IC 1691 , IC 1692 .

The object was discovered on September 13, 1784 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
