NGC 532 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Pisces on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 109 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 100,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 516 , NGC 518 , NGC 524 , NGC 525 .

The object was discovered on September 21, 1786 by the German-British astronomer Wilhelm Herschel .
