Bruno Meier (artist)

Bruno Meier (born March 24, 1905 in Zurich ; † June 10, 1967 there ) was a Swiss artist and painter .

Life

Meier worked as a painter in Switzerland. His works, which were created between 1940 and 1967, would move on the established, well-tried path between old realism and pre-cubism . In 1965 a comprehensive exhibition with 150 drawings and 85 paintings took place in the Helmhaus in Zurich .

Meier was married to the teacher Alice Meier. The CentrePasquArt Collection Foundation in Switzerland inherited from Alice Meier (1914–2009) not only the entire estate of her artist husband Bruno Meier, but also a sum of 850,000 francs .
