Bruno Wögerer

Bruno Wögerer (born May 30, 1943 in Linz ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and director of a commercial academy . From 1989 to 1996 he was a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

After primary and secondary school in Linz, Wögerer completed an apprenticeship as a druggist and sales assistant from 1957 to 1960. He then did his military service from 1960 and was subsequently a temporary soldier in the Austrian Armed Forces. At the same time he graduated from the Federal High School for Working People in Linz and graduated in 1965. After a stay in England between 1965 and 1967, Wögerer studied at the University of Vienna , where he graduated in 1974 with the academic degree Mag. Phil. completed. From 1970 Wögerer worked as a professor for German and English at the BG / BRG Neusiedl am See and in 1980 took over the management of the Federal Trade Academy and Federal Trade School Neusiedl am See - Frauenkirchen. In the political field he was active as a committee member of the SPÖ Neusiedl am See from 1972, from 1973 he was also a member of the district committee. He was also a local councilor in Neusiedl am See from 1977 to 1982 and then vice mayor. Between January 26, 1989 and June 27, 1996 he represented the SPÖ in the Burgenland state parliament, and from 1990 he was also the state chairman of Kinderfreunde .

In 2000 Wögerer began training as a psychotherapist in two fields: systemic family therapy and logotherapy according to Viktor Frankl; since 2004 he has been running a practice for psychotherapy in Neusiedl am See . In addition, he was involved in pro mente Burgenland, an association for mental and social health, which, among other things , operates living and therapy facilities for the mentally ill in Lackenbach and Kohfidisch ; In addition, pro mente Burgenland, together with pro mente Vienna, set up a rehabilitation clinic in Rust , primarily for the professional reintegration of people with mental health problems. Bruno Wögerer has been chairman of pro mente Burgenland since 2006 .

After working for many years in the Burgenland Youth Red Cross, Wögerer was elected to the Presidium of the Burgenland Red Cross in 2006; Wögerer has been President of the Burgenland Red Cross since 2007.
