Bruvik is a former municipality in Fylke Vestland in Norway. It is located about 20 kilometers east of Bergen on the Sørfjord .

Bruvik split from the parish of Haus on January 1, 1870 . At that time it had a little over 2000 inhabitants. In 1964, parts of Bruvik were merged with the neighboring communities of Haus, Hamre and Hosanger to form the new municipality of Osterøy as part of a municipal reform . Other parts of the community were added to the newly formed Vaksdal Municipality .
