Bucci painter
The Bucci Painter was a provisional names named Attic - black-figure vase painters. The works are dated to the last quarter of the 6th century BC. Dated.
The Bucci painter belongs to the circle of the Antimenes painter , but is closer to the older Andokides painter and his early works are even more important than the Antimenes painter. He decorates vase shapes similar to this one, amphorae and hydration . He is far less productive, but achieves a similarly high quality in his best works. Occasionally, the painters of the group show additional animal friezes on their neck amphorae, which are borrowed from the ornamentation schemes of the hydriai and are reminiscent of their predella . Sometimes he uses pillars to frame his pictures that he borrowed from the world of motifs of the Panathenaic price amphoras .
