Buchaberg is part of the municipality of Neukirchen in Lower Bavaria in the Straubing-Bogen district .
The hamlet, which consists of nine residential buildings (as of 2017), is located in the Obermühlbach district on the western, left-hand side of the valley slope of an unnamed stream that flows into the Bogenbach from the Buchenberg near Buchamühl .
