geography

The Bogenbach takes its name from the union of its two spring waters, Englmarbach and Rettenbacher Mühlbach . On a rough scale, it flows first to the west, reducing a large difference in altitude to Gaishausen (Hunderdorf) , followed by a section facing south to about Waltersdorf (Bogen) and a further section to the west to the confluence in Bogen (city) .

history

At the beginning of the 19th century the body of water was still called Bogen .

environment

In the middle of the 19th century there were reports on the stocks of pearl mussels for Haggner Bach , Steinburger Bach and Gaishauser Bach in the area between Primbsensteg and the bridge of Oberhunderdorf.

Construction load

From the confluence of the Dummbach south of Hunderdorf to the confluence with the Danube in the town of Bogen, the Bogenbach is a second-order body of water over a length of 10.1 kilometers.
