Hunderdorf is a municipality in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen and the seat of the Hunderdorf administrative community . The parish village of the same name is the main town of the community.

history

Until the church is planted

The name Hunderdorf is mentioned for the first time in a deed of donation from Friedrich von Winneberg and Aschwin zu Zeitldorn from 1065. A large part of the area came under the rule of the Windberg Monastery and the Oberalteich Monastery through donations . The first verifiable church was built in 1359.

Hunderdorf belonged to the Straubing Rent Office and the Mitterfels Regional Court of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , with the municipal edict of 1818, today's municipality was established in the district court of Mitterfels, and from 1839 in the district court of Bogen , the forerunner of the district of Bogen .

19th to 21st century

The municipality Unterhunderdorf was designated until around 1840 . In 1951 the furniture and chipboard factory Nolte settled in Hunderdorf and employed around 600 people there for almost four decades. The Hunderdorf industrial park was later created from this.

Incorporations

As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , on May 1, 1978, the municipality of Steinburg (with the Au vorm Wald incorporated in 1946) and the majority of the dissolved municipality of Gaishausen were incorporated into the municipality of Hunderdorf. Dörnau (1979), Birkhof and Rimbach (1980) were reclassified from Hunderdorf to Neukirchen.

Culture and sights

  • Hunderdorf is known as the "home of Mühlhiasl ".
  • The Catholic parish church of St. Nikolaus was built from 1935 to 1936 according to plans by architect K. Wirthensohn and consecrated on May 30, 1937 by Archbishop Michael Buchberger .

In other economic sectors this figure was 16 people. There were 270 employees subject to social security contributions at the place of residence. There were two companies each in manufacturing and construction. In addition, there were 59 farms in 1999 with an agriculturally used area of ​​486 ha, of which 81 ha were arable land and 397 ha were permanent green space.
