Atting is a municipality in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen and a member of the Rain administrative community .

geography

The community is located in the Danube Forest region at the exit of the Kleine Laber valley .

Community structure

There are five districts: the main town and parish village Atting, the church village Rinkam , the hamlet Einhausen and the deserted Bruckmühle and Wallmühle . There is only the district Atting.

Landstorf belonged to the municipality until 1946 .

history

Until the church is planted

Atting was first mentioned in a document in 847. It belonged to the rent office and court of Straubing of the Electorate of Bavaria . In the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria , today's municipality was created with the municipal edict of 1818 .

Parish

In addition to the entire Atting parish, the parish of Wiesendorf and Bergstorf of the parish of Rain belong to the parish of Atting .

First Mayor of Atting has been Robert Ruber since May 1st, 2008. On March 15, 2020, he was re-elected as an election proposal by the CSU / ÜPWG with 88.2%. In the 2020–2026 election period, the municipal council consists of the first mayor, six municipal council members from the ÜPWG and six members from the CSU .

The municipal tax revenue amounted to approx. 693,000 € in 2007, of which the trade tax revenue (net) amounted to approx. 421,000 €.

In 1998, according to official statistics, there were 20 employees at the place of work in the field of agriculture and forestry, 175 in the manufacturing sector and ten in trade and transport. In other economic areas 39 people were employed at the place of work subject to social security contributions. There were a total of 538 employees at the place of residence subject to social security contributions. There were two companies in the manufacturing sector and no companies in the main construction sector. In addition, in 1999 there were 27 farms with an agricultural area of ​​1339 hectares, of which 1076 hectares were arable land and hectares of permanent green space.

The Straubing-Wallmühle airfield is located in the community area and houses four aeronautical operations.

Others

Since March 22, 2015, the municipality has been the first and so far only official fair trade town in the Straubing-Bogen district.
