Wiesendorf is a district of the municipality of Rain in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

Wiesendorf is located in the Gäuboden on the Kleine Laber (Altlaber) about one kilometer southwest of Rain.

history

In Wiesendorf, ministerials of the Hochstift Regensburg were based. In 1467 Peter and Christoph the Rainer von Rain bought the Hofmark from Achatz Nußberger. From then on, Hofmark Wiesendorf remained connected to Hofmark Rain. It was subordinate to the Oberamt Alburg in the Straubing Regional Court . The bishopric kept goods in Wiesendorf in its lower jurisdiction until the 19th century . As single-layer goods, they belonged to Hofmark Oberharthausen .

Wiesenhof has been part of the Rain community since the communities were formed in the 19th century. Ecclesiastically Wiesendorf belongs to the parish of Atting .

  • Filial church of St. Johannes Evangelista. The Gothic complex received modifications in the nave during the Baroque period.
