Ehren is a settlement and part of the municipality of Hunderdorf in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

geography

The settlement is located in the Gaishausen district to the west of the Au des Bogenbach and north of the village of Gaishausen , south of the state road 2147 and on both sides of the road to Hunderdorf that leads from here .

history

The origin of the place lies between 1861 and 1871, since Ehren is first mentioned in the documentation for the census of 1871. At the census in 1861 the place was not mentioned. Originally the place belonged to the municipality of Steinburg and in 1904 changed to the municipality of Gaishausen, which was dissolved in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria . Gaishausen was incorporated into Hunderdorf on May 1, 1978. There was a canning factory in honor. It was on the Straubing – Miltach railway line and had Steinburg train station, there was a post office and a warehouse.
