Steinburg is a district of the municipality of Hunderdorf in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

Geography and traffic

The village is located on the eponymous district in the bow creek , east of State Road 2139 from Neukirchen to Hunderdorf . There was a Steinburg station on the Straubing – Miltach line in the Ehren district .

history

Originally the political community Steinburg consisted of the eight places Birkhof, Buchaberg, Dürnau, Ehren, Oed, Rimbach, Steinburg and Wegern. After 1875 no place in Buchaberg appears in the census data of the municipality. In 1904 Ehren moved from Steinburg to Gaishausen . In 1946 Au vorm Wald, Brandstatt, Hasenquanten and Schafberg were incorporated into the dissolved municipality of Au vorm Wald. With the regional reform in Bavaria , the former municipality of Steinburg lost its independence and was incorporated into the municipality of Hunderdorf on May 1, 1978 with all of the districts. The place Dörnau came on January 1, 1979 by Hunderdorf at Neukirchen , Birkhof and Rimbach on July 1, 1980th
