district Court

In 1839, as a result of the administrative reform of the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1838, the Bogen district court was established. Municipalities from the surrounding district courts were assigned to this.

District Office

The District Office Bogen was formed in 1862 and took over the administrative tasks in the districts of the district courts of the older order Bogen and Mitterfels .

district

With the 3rd ordinance on the rebuilding of the Reich of November 28, 1938, the renaming of all Bavarian district offices as district offices and the district officials as district administrators was determined. On January 1, 1939, the Bogen district office became the Bogen district.

On July 1, 1972, in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria, the district of Bogen was combined with some communities in the districts of Mallersdorf and Regensburg and most of the district of Straubing to form the new district of Straubing-Bogen , with the exception of the municipality of Bernried , which came to the district of Deggendorf .

In the Straubing-Bogen district, license plates with "BOG" were issued until August 3, 1974. Due to the license plate liberalization , this sequence of letters has been possible again since July 2, 2018.
