history
district Court
When Bavaria was restructured in 1803, the Roding district court was set up. After the establishment of the kingdom (1806), the district court Roding was assigned to the Regenkreis in 1808 , which was renamed Upper Palatinate in 1838 .
District Office
The district office of Roding was formed in 1862 through the merger of the district courts of the older order Falkenstein, Nittenau and Roding.
On the occasion of the reform of the layout of the Bavarian district offices, the Roding district office ceded the municipalities to the Regensburg and Stadtamhof district offices on January 1, 1880 .
district
On January 1, 1939, the uniform imperial designation Landkreis was introduced. This is how the district office became the Roding district.
In 1945 the district gave the communities of Plitting and Wulkersdorf and in 1946 the community of Pfaffenfang to the district of Regensburg.
On July 1, 1972, the Roding district was dissolved as part of the regional reform in Bavaria :
- The city of Nittenau and the communities of Bleich, Bruck in the Upper Palatinate , Fischbach and Kaspeltshub came to the Schwandorf district .
- All other communities came to the district of Cham.
