history

District Office

The Scheinfeld district office was formed in 1862 through the merger of the regional courts of the older order Markt Bibart and Scheinfeld .

district

On January 1, 1939, the uniform designation Landkreis was introduced in the German Reich . This is how the district office became the Scheinfeld district.

On July 1, 1972, the district was dissolved as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . Its largest part was added to the district of Neustadt an der Aisch in the administrative district of Middle Franconia together with the then Uffenheim district . The community of Gleißenberg came to the district of Erlangen-Höchstadt . The town of Iphofen and the communities of Birklingen , Dornheim , Einersheim , Füttersee , Geiselwind , Gräfenneuses , Haag , Hellmitzheim , Holzberndorf , Langenberg , Mönchsondheim , Nenzenheim , Possenheim and Wasserberndorf as well as the community-free area Limpurgerforst came to the district of Kitzingen and thus to the administrative district of Lower Franconia. On May 1, 1973, the district of Neustadt an der Aisch was given the current name of the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim .

On May 1, 1978 Gleißenberg moved from the Erlangen-Höchstadt district to the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district and was incorporated into Burghaslach .
