Schnodsenbach is a district of the town of Scheinfeld in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Central Franconia .

location

The village is about 2 km northwest of Scheinfeld on the district road NEA 20 . Adjacent to the west flows the Scheine , a source river of the Laimbach .

history

Schnodsenbach was first mentioned in 1258 as a “villa” with a court seat (“judicium Snozenbach”). It is assumed that it was built around the year 1000. A castle is first mentioned in 1361 in connection with a knight Apel von Seckendorff zu Snotzbach. With the community edict, the independent community Schnodsenbach with the districts Einsiedelei and Zeisenbronn was established in 1818 . This was incorporated into Scheinfeld in 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
