Hohlweilermühle is a district of the town of Scheinfeld in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Central Franconia .

location

The desert is about 1.5 km south of Scheinfeld, on the western slope of the Weiler mountain. A connecting road leads to Scheinfeld and Hohlweiler to state road 2421 . A little further to the east flows the Scheine , which joins the Bibart to the Laimbach one kilometer further south .

history

The mill was first mentioned in 1445 as a castell'sches fief , in 1457 it was sold to the Schwarzenbergs . It is also owned by the city of Scheinfeld several times. Until the end of the 19th century there was a sawmill, a bakery and a large farm in addition to the flour mill. The Mühlbach was later excavated and the property was used for other purposes or not. The buildings have now been restored.

The former district of the municipality of Grappertshofen was incorporated into Scheinfeld on January 1, 1972 as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
