history
Deutheim was created as a chain village in Gewannflur . The place was first mentioned in the founding document of the Benedictine monastery Megingaudshausen from the year 816 as "Dyttenheim". The place name has the personal name Diet (rich) as a defining word, which can be seen as the founder of the place. In 1220 the place is mentioned as "Titenheim", later as "Teytenheim". In the first half of the 12th century, the Lords of Castell resided at Deutenheim Castle . They were also the landlords in Deutenheim. In 1457 they gave their goods to the farmers. After the Lords of Castell, the Lords of Seckendorff-Rinhofen , who owned most of the goods in the village, followed.
At the end of the 18th century there were 40 properties in Deutenheim. The high court and the village and community rule exercised the rule of Sugenheim . The landlords were the Lordship of Sugenheim (rectory, schoolhouse, 5 courtyards, 8 estates, 15 estates, 1 tavern, 1 forge, 1 mill, 2 gatehouses, community pastor's house), the Brandenburg-Bayreuth caste office Ipsheim (1 estate, 1 house), the imperial city Windsheim (1 yard) and the upper parish of Herbolzheim (1 estate).
In 1810 Deutenheim came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the community edict was in 1811 the tax district Sugenheim and 1813 of the Rural Municipality assigned Sugenheim. With the second community edict (1818) the rural community Deutenheim was formed, to which Dutzenthal belonged. In administration and jurisdiction it was subordinate to the District Court of Windsheim and in financial administration to the Ipsheim Rent Office . The voluntary jurisdiction and local police, except for 3 properties, were held by the Sugenheim Patrimonial Court until 1848 . On July 3, 1838, the community was handed over to the district court of Markt Bibart and the Iphofen Rent Office . From 1862 Deutenheim was administered by the Scheinfeld district office (renamed the Scheinfeld district in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Markt Bibart rent office (1920–1929: Markt Bibart tax office , from 1929: Neustadt an der Aisch tax office ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court of Markt Bibart until 1879, from 1880 the district court of Scheinfeld . The municipality had an area of 6.402 km².
On January 1, 1972, Deutenheim was incorporated into Sugenheim as part of the municipal reform.
