history

First mentioned by name, the place in a document of the year 1158, in which it was Emperor Barbarossa the monastery Münchaurach and his possessions, including Rüdisbronn belonged, assured its protection. When it was dissolved in the year of the Reformation in 1528, its possessions fell to Brandenburg-Bayreuth . The place name means "to the source of the Rüdiger".

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 59 properties in Rüdisbronn (church, rectory, schoolhouse, game master's apartment, 1 three-quarter hatch , 12 half-hats, 11 quarter-hats, 7 Sölden , 12 houses, tavern, sheep house, mill, brickyard). The high court was exercised by the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Vogtamt Lenkersheim , but this was disputed by the Würzburg Cent Markt Bibart . The caste office of Ipsheim held the village and community rulership as well as the lordship over all properties .

In 1810 Rüdisbronn came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Kaubenheim tax district in 1811 . In 1817 the rural community Kaubenheim was formed, to which Rüdisbronn belonged. With the second community edict (1818), Rüdisbronn split up with Rehhof and formed its own rural community. The administration and jurisdiction of the rural community of Rüdisbronn was under the Windsheim Regional Court and the Ipsheim Rent Office for the financial administration . From 1862 Rüdisbronn was administered by the Uffenheim District Office (renamed the Uffenheim District in 1938 ) and from 1856 by the Windsheim Rent Office ( renamed Windsheim Tax Office in 1920 ). The jurisdiction remained with the District Court of Windsheim until 1879, from 1880 District Court of Windsheim . The municipality had an area of 6.703 km².

On July 1, 1972, Rüdisbronn was incorporated into Bad Windsheim as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
