The Hundsücken ( 327 m above sea level ) rises about one kilometer to the northwest .
The state road 2253 leading to Rüdisbronn (1.8 km to the north) or to Kuelsheim over and Bad Windheim to national highway 470 (5.5 km south). The district road NEA 35 leads to Kaubenheim (2.5 km east) or to Humprechtsau (3.2 km north-west).
history
The place was probably founded during the first wave of settlement of the Franconian conquest and was first mentioned by name in 750. The place name changed in the course of time from "Berlitzheim" to "Berzelheim" to the current form. From 750 to 779 and from 1150 to 1165 the Fulda Monastery received goods through donations. From 1399 to 1426 the Lords of Seckendorf were wealthy in the village. There were also other landlords . In the period that followed, Brandenburg-Kulmbach and the imperial city of Windsheim became the only landlords in the village.
At the end of the 18th century there were 32 properties in Berolzheim. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuth Vogtamt Lenkersheim . The village and township government had the box office Ipsheim . The landlords were the imperial city of Windsheim (24 properties: 3 courtyards, 1 three-quarter courtyard, 2 half courtyards, 1 estate, 2 small estates, 9 forage estates, 2 half forage estates, 3 houses, 1 tenth annex), the Ipsheim caste office (church, school, shepherd's house, 1 courtyard , 3 goods, 1 forge) and the Brandenburg-Ansbach Oberamt Uffenheim (1 yard).
In 1810 Berolzheim became part of the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict, it was assigned to the Kaubenheim tax district in 1811 . In 1817 the rural community of Kaubenheim was formed, to which Berolzheim belonged. With the second community edict (1818) Berolzheim broke away from it and formed its own rural community. In administration and jurisdiction it was subordinate to the District Court of Windsheim and in financial administration to the Ipsheim Rent Office . From 1862 the Uffenheim district office (renamed the Uffenheim district in 1938 ) and the Windsheim Rent Office from 1856 ( renamed the Windsheim tax office in 1920 ) were responsible. The jurisdiction remained with the District Court of Windsheim until 1879, from 1880 District Court of Windsheim . The municipality had an area of 5,671 km².
With the regional reform in Bavaria , Berolzheim was incorporated into Bad Windsheim on July 1, 1972.
