The Windsheim Bay is a geomorphological formation that originated in the Variscan mountain range . Geographically, it is to be assigned to the supraregional south-west German layer level country . The Windsheimer Bucht is the southwestern part of the Neustadt ad Aisch bay , from where it slides in a wedge shape between Iphofen and Burgbernheim into the Keuperland level and separates the Steigerwald from the Frankenhöhe . In the west it opens up to the Main Franconian Gaulandschaft
