geography

The wasteland lies in the Windsheimer Bucht am Erlenbach (called Linkenbach in the lower reaches), a right tributary of the Aisch . A community road leads to Ickelheim to state road 2253 (0.5 km northeast) or past the Penleinsmühle to Sontheim to the district road NEA 39 (1.2 km south).

history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Wasenmühle belonged to Ickelberg. The estate was owned by the Ickelheim Bailiwick of the Teutonic Order as landlord .

As part of the municipal edict, Wasenmühle was assigned to the Ickelheim tax district formed in 1808 . It also belonged to the Ickelheim rural community formed in 1811 .

In 1947 the mill burned out. As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , Ickelheim was incorporated into Bad Windsheim with the Wasenmühle on July 1, 1976. Until 1990 the mill was operated as a cutting mill.
