Rüdern is a district of the Sugenheim market in the Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim district in Middle Franconia .
Geographical location
The Tiefenbach, which is a right tributary of the Ehebach , flows through the hamlet . The Kipperland corridor area borders to the southeast of the village, the Viehtrieb corridor area to the north, the Maas corridor area approx. 0.5 km southwest and the Hochholz forest area approx. 0.5 km east. Municipal roads lead to Neundorf (1.3 km to the west), to Sugenheim to the district road NEA 31 (1.9 km to the south) and to Hürfeld to the state road 2253 (1.1 km to the north-east).
history
The place was first mentioned in 1281 as "rowing". The place name is derived from the old high German word "riutan" (= reuten, clearing), from which it can be concluded that the establishment of the place was preceded by clearing .
Towards the end of the 18th century there were 8 properties in Rüdern (2 courtyards, 2 estates, 2 estates, 1 house, community pastor's house). The high court , the village and community rulership and the lordship over all properties exercised the rule Sugenheim . The high court was also claimed by the Bibart Cent market in Würzburg .
As part of the community edict, Rüdern was assigned to the Sugenheim tax district, formed in 1811, and to the Sugenheim rural community in 1813 .
Former architectural monument
- Rock cellar. Inscribed 1717 on the arched stone walls of the inner entrance . The outer access to the barrel vaulted cellar neck made of stone was renewed in the 19th century; two window hatches.

The place has been predominantly Evangelical-Lutheran since the Reformation . The residents of the Evangelical-Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Erhard (Sugenheim) , the residents of the Roman-Catholic denomination were first parish after Assumption of Mary (Ullstadt) and are now parish to St. Marien (Markt Bibart) .
