Bärnzell is a part of the municipality of Ascha and a district in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

geography

The hamlet Bärnzell (2019) consists of six properties and is located one kilometer north of Steinach and four kilometers south of the main town of Ascha in the Steinachbach valley , mostly south and to the right of the creek.

history

The former municipality of Bärnzell lost its independence with the regional reform in Bavaria and was incorporated into the municipality of Ascha in 1971. The community area was around 987 hectares . For 1950 and 1961, the census records do not document Bärnzell, but Kienberg as the main town of the municipality.
