Pfelling is a parish village and a district of the city of Bogen and a district in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .
With the regional reform in Bavaria , the former municipality of Pfelling lost its independence. Most recently, it included the parish village of Pfelling, the parish village of Welchenberg , the hamlets of Anning , Espern , Haag , Hagengrub , Liepolding and the wastelands of Lenzing and Stegholz . On January 1, 1978 Espern, Haag, Hagengrub, Lenzing and Welchenberg were integrated into the Niederwinkling community . Anning, Liepolding, Pfelling and Stegholz were incorporated into the town of Bogen.

In Pfelling there was an important ferry connection over the Danube to Sophienhof at km 2305.8 , which lost its importance due to the construction of the 2.6 km upstream Xaver-Hafner Bridge, which was completed in 1986 and was therefore closed.
