Osterberg is a wasteland and part of the municipality of the town of Bogen in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

It is located on the northern edge of the area of ​​the town of Bogen in the Degernbach district and just under two kilometers northwest of Degernbach between Gottesberg and Hohenthan . The court chapel, located on the edge of the forest east of the courtyard, was built at the end of the 19th century and is a listed building monument.

In the census of 1861 Osterberg was a district of Degernbach, had eight inhabitants and belonged to the district of the Catholic parish Degernbach. Ten years later at the latest, the place came to the Windberg community and belonged to the parish and school in Windberg. In 1978 Osterberg was reclassified from Windberg to the town of Bogen together with Gottesberg and Mitterbühl .
