Bogenberg is a district of the town of Bogen and a district in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

The parish village is on the Bogenberg . The area of the former community included the Bogenberg and some areas to the east and north.

history

The Bogenberg pilgrimage church can look back on a history that goes back to 1223 and is strongly intertwined with the history of the place.

The political municipality of Bogenberg was created in 1808 as part of the Bavarian division of the country with the first municipal edict . With the second parish edict in 1818, the boundaries of the parish with its 14 locations were finally determined. With the regional reform in Bavaria , the former municipality of Bogenberg from the district of Bogen lost its independence and was incorporated into the city of Bogen on January 1, 1971.
