Breitenweinzier is a district of the town of Bogen in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

Geographical location

The village borders on Dörfling in the south . The Bogenberg rises to the west . The Bogenbach runs in the north and the Danube about two kilometers south .

history

Breitenweinzier was first mentioned in a document around 1170 as a winzzer. In 1818, Breitenweinzier was established as part of the municipality of Bogenberg. On January 1, 1972, the municipality of Bogenberg was incorporated into the city of Bogen, making Breitenweinzier a district of Bogen.
