Pilgramsberg is a church village and part of the municipality of Rattiszell in the Lower Bavarian district of Straubing-Bogen .

geography

The village is at an altitude of about 533  m above sea level. NHN on the eastern slope of the Pilgramsberg , an elevation west of the Kinsach valley , between Sockabach and Haunkenzeller Bach . State road 2147 runs through the village . The main town of Rattiszell is about three and a half kilometers to the east. On the plateau of the 619 m high Pilgramberg stands the pilgrimage church of St. Ursula, to which a crossroad leads up from the village .

history

In 1150 the village was first mentioned in a document under the name "Pilgrimerperch".

Former parish

The former municipality of Pilgramsberg with an area of ​​234.45 hectares was dissolved by the military government on January 1, 1946. An area of ​​188.45 hectares with the towns of Großneundling, Mutzendorf and Pilgramsberg was incorporated into the community of Haunkenzell . After Ascha , 46 hectares were incorporated with Fahrmühl, Krähhof and Willerszell. In 1978 the Haunkenzell community was incorporated into Rattiszell.

Culture and sights

The pilgrimage church of St. Ursula on the Pilgramsberg was built over an older core in the late 17th century and expanded in 1905.

regional customs

Since 1842 there has been an annual pilgrimage from Wörth and Kiefenholz to the pilgrimage church of St. Ursula at the end of May / beginning of June . It goes back to a healing through the pilgrimage of a Kiefenholz citizen whose son was blind after a vaccination and then got his eyesight back.
