The Elisabethszeller Bach is a nine kilometer long brook in the Straubing-Bogen district in Lower Bavaria , which flows into the Bogenbach from the right and north to the south of Neukirchen .

The Elisabethszeller Bach rises at over 735  m above sea level. NN . The source is west of the wasteland Altenried , about one kilometer north of the center of Elisabethszell . From there it first flows south to the village of Elisabethszell, which it crosses and here swings slightly to the east, only to run south again soon. At the mouth of the Ratzingergraben , the direction is changed for 250 meters to the west and then back to the south. The mouth of the Sparrgraben marks the beginning of a floodplain zone with a significantly reduced gradient, pronounced meandering and several shorter changes of direction. Neukirchen is passed to the east and to the south of it is the confluence with the Bogenbach, before it enters a narrow forest valley from the Au.

Catchment area

The Elisabethszeller Bach drains about 21.55 km² to the Bogenbach . The highest point in the catchment area is the summit of Hadriwa and lies at 922  m above sea level. NN . The demarcation to the catchment area of ​​the Klinglbach in the northeast is the ridge from Kreuzhaus over the Hadriwa and Pfarrerberg to Maibrunn (911 m above sea level). In the west, the Menach catchment area borders. Here the boundary runs from Kreuzhaus over the Sommerberg to the saddle of the SR 13 district road west of Elisabethszell, south over Ehrenberg, Winterberg, Loider Höhe to Mitterkogl and Oberkogl , then east to Autsdorf and Inderbogen and again south to Neukirchen , in the valley of the Bogenbach. To the east lies the catchment area of ​​the Obermühlbach . Here the watershed runs from Maibrunn via Münchszell and the Urberberg on via Taußersdorf to Neukirchen.
