Bucher forest

The Bucher Forest is a forest area in Berlin and Brandenburg . It was named after the Berlin district of Buch , in whose area it is partially located.

The total area of ​​1100 hectares is divided into a 600 hectare Berlin part in the Pankow district and a smaller part in the Barnim district . Of the total area, 250 hectares are covered with high forest, while the rest mainly consists of trees on the former Berlin sewage fields . In the western part there are several larger bodies of water, which are known as carp ponds . The Bogensee is the largest of them.
