The Bogensee in Buch is a small lake in the western part of the Bucher Forest . The main tributary is the Seegraben. The upper carp pond is drained via a pipe connection . The water coverage depends on the precipitation and the water flow of the tributaries. The area around the lake is swampy.

The Bogensee and the upper carp pond are in the nature reserve " Bogenseekette und Lietzengrabenniederung " (NSG 32); the lower carp ponds, however, belong to the “Buch” nature reserve (LSG 47).

fauna

In addition to the easy-to-spot bird species, coot , mallard and swan , there are at least ten other bird species. In addition, the fish species crucian carp , gable , carp and roach as well as the spawn of common toads have been detected. In the wet meadows on the shores edge which is grass snake home.

flora

The lake is almost completely surrounded by trees. The least vegetation is on the path between Lake Bogensee and the carp pond.
