The Buckner Glacier is located on the southern slope of Buckner Mountain in North Cascades National Park in the US state of Washington . The glacier is approximately 0.70 mi (1 km) long and is divided in half along half its length. The upper section descends from 8,400 ft (2,560 m) to 7,500 ft (2,286 m) and the lower section descends from approximately 6,800 ft (2,073 m) to 6,300 ft (1,920 m) altitude. Buckner Mountain lies between the glacier and the much larger Boston Glacier to the north.
