Career

Bud Gulka began playing ice hockey relatively late as a young adult and was initially on the ice in Vancouver for an amateur team before the Canadian got a contract with the Vancouver Blazers from the World Hockey Association for the 1974/75 season . Gulka, who was intended as a substitute for the Blazers in the role of Enforcer , was on the ice in five WHA games during his only professional season under head coach Joe Crozier . He managed to have the best rate of shots when the striker hit the opponent's housing with his only shot on goal.

After the 1974/75 season Gulka was again active as an amateur player and hired in Delta , British Columbia , with the North Shore Hurry Kings from the Northwest Hockey League . The Canadian later went on the ice for the Delta Hurry Kings in the British Columbia Senior Hockey League .
