Budapesti AK , BAK for short , was a Hungarian football club from Budapest . He played a total of 13 years in the first Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság .
history
The Budapesti Athletikai Klub ( German Athletics Club Budapest ) was founded in 1900. In 1905 he rose to the first Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság . This belonged to the club without interruption until the 1920/21 season . In 1910 he had merged with the Csepeli Athletikai Club and played one season as the Budapest-Csepeli AK . He was able to achieve his best result with a third place in the season 1911/12 . After relegation, the club failed to return to the first division. After the establishment of the Hungarian professional league in 1926, the BAK first played as Budapesti Atlétikai Klub FC , and from 1928 as Budapesti Atlétikai Klub TK in the second professional league. In 1934 he had to relegate. In 1947 the association dissolved.
