Buffon Canyon

The Buffon Canyon is a deep-sea trench in the D'Urville Sea off the George V coast in East Antarctica .
The name of the trench is included in the registers of the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans and the Scientific Committee for Antarctic Research without any further naming background .
