Buholmråsa fyr
Buholmråsa fyr is a lighthouse on the Norwegian coast in Osen municipality in Trøndelag . The lighthouse is on the island of Sønnaholmen near the town of Sætervik. The lighthouse was built in 1916 and is 23.5 meters high; its fire has a range of 17 nautical miles . In 1965 a radio beacon was also set up with a range of 20 nautical miles. It has been unmanned since it switched to automatic operation in 1994. The tower and its outbuildings from 1917 and 1946 are under monument protection .
The lighthouse marks the southern end of the Folla , an open stretch of coast and dangerous fairway.
Meteorological station
The Norwegian Meteorological Institute operates a weather station on the lighthouse. Weather data has been recorded at the station, which is 18 meters above sea level, since November 1965. The following table shows the average values determined:
