Bujar Bukoshi
Bujar Bukoshi (born May 13, 1947 in Suva Reka , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Kosovar politician ( LDK ). He was Prime Minister of Kosovo from October 5, 1991 to February 1, 2000, including in exile in Bonn from 1993 to 1999.
Life
He studied medicine at the University of Belgrade . He is one of the founders of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and was later chairman of this party.
Bujar Bukoshi was unable to build on his previous successes after the Kosovo War, as Ibrahim Rugova had given him a very low post in his party. Bukoshi founded his own party, Partia e re e Kosovë (PrK, German New Party of Kosovo ) in April 2002 . After moderate success in the 2002 municipal elections, the PrK received less than 1 percent of the vote in the 2004 parliamentary elections. After Rugova's death in 2006, he dissolved the party and went back to the LDK.
