The 52-km long river originates in the village Korytków Mały (municipality Frampol ), flows westward off, forming the southern boundary of the Landscape Park Landscape Park Lasy Janowskie and the border of the Lublin province to province Podkarpackie and finally ends at the village Chłopska Wola over the industrial city of Stalowa Wola in the San. The catchment area is given as 662 km².
