The Buldan Dam ( Buldan Barajı in Turkish ) is located on the Derbent Çayı River, 20 km southeast of the city of Sarıgöl in the western Turkish province of Denizli .
The dam was built between 1964 and 1967 for irrigation and flood protection . The stone embankment dam with a clay core is 59 m above the valley floor and has a volume of 700,000 m³. The associated reservoir covers an area of 2.9 km² with normal back-up and has a storage space of 35.52 million m³. The dam is used to irrigate an area of 1927 ha.
