The Bulgarian Beach (English; Bulgarian Крайбрежие Българско Krajbreschie Balgarsko , German 'Bulgarian Coast' ) is a beach on the South Bay in the eastern part of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies between Cape Hesperides in the southwest and a previously unnamed glacier in the northeast.
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee made the naming in 1994 at the request of participants of the second Bulgarian Antarctic expedition (1993-1994) based on the Bulgarian St. Kliment-Ohridski station located on this beach .
