The Bulletin of the American Society of Papyrologists is a specialized scientific journal in the field of classical studies that publishes articles on papyrology .

The Bulletin of the American Society of Papyrologists , founded in 1963, is the only papyrological journal in North America. The magazine is currently published in two issues a year by Oxbow Books , after having been self-published by the university for a long time. Current editors on behalf of the American Society of Papyrologists are Peter van Minnen , Timothy Renner and John Whitehorne , previous editors include Traianos Gagos , Gerald M. Browne and Susan A. Stephens . The journal's advisory board currently includes Antii Arjava , Paola Davoli , Gladys Franz-Murphy , Andrea Jördens , David Martinez , Kathleen McNamee , W. John Tait , J. David Thomas , Dorothy J. Thompson and Terry G. Wilfong . The publication language of the articles and reviews is English, in rare cases also German, Italian or French.

Although the journal is comparatively small, important scientists published their studies here. They include, for example, Anthony Alcock , Werner Eck , Hans Georg Gundel , Christian Habicht , Dieter Hagedorn , Heinz Heinen , Reinhold Merkelbach , Bruno Snell , Martin L. West and Roger S.
