The bullova is an Indian battle ax used by the tribes in Chota Nagpur (now Chhattisgarh state ).
history
The Bullova was developed in India as a weapon of war for use by foot troops. Due to its later spread throughout India, there are many variations.
description
The blades are made of steel and have a variety of shapes. They can be triangular, rectangular, crescent-shaped, or curved. The blade is attached to the handle with the help of an eye . The length of the blade is about 25 cm, the total length of the bullova is up to about 80 cm. The handle is either made of wood and can be reinforced with metal rings or it is made entirely of metal. There is sometimes a blade at the top of the handle.
