The Federal Railway Restructuring Act (BEZNG) of December 27, 1993 came into force under Article 1 of the Railway Restructuring Act on January 1, 1994.

It deals with the amalgamation of the “ Deutsche Bundesbahn ” and “ Deutsche Reichsbahnspecial assets to form a single federal railway assets .

It is internally in

  • an entrepreneurial area as well
  • an administrative area

structured with their own auditing and auditing.

The entrepreneurial area includes the provision of rail transport services and the operation of the rail infrastructure .

The administrative area comprises the sovereign tasks that have been carried out by the special assets up to now, and the administration of the staff, the liabilities of the federal railway assets and the real estate not required for the railway .
