Introduction of the Federal Law Gazette of the North German Confederation

The Federal Law Gazette of the North German Confederation was introduced by the ordinance on the introduction of the Federal Law Gazette for the North German Confederation of July 26, 1867 and served to promulgate the federal laws (of the North German Confederation) and the orders and orders of the Federal Presidium . The issue location was Berlin, the issue took place in the office of the Federal Chancellor (of the North German Confederation).

The first edition appeared on August 2, 1867 with the constitution of the North German Confederation , the last (No. 3/1871) on January 20, 1871.

After that, due to the political changes, the title in the Federal Law Gazette of the German Confederation was changed, but the consecutive numbering of the issues and the counting of the pages continued (No. 4/1871 to No. 18/1871, page 7 to page 94).

With the edition of May 8, 1871, the title was changed to Reichsgesetzblatt and the consecutive numbering of the editions and the counting of the pages were continued. This first edition of the Reichsgesetzblatt bears the number 19 and begins with page number 95.

The Federal Law Gazette of the North German Confederation from 1867 to 1871 and the Federal Law Gazette of the German Confederation from 1871 should not be confused with the Federal Law Gazette of the Federal Republic of Germany since 1949 or the Federal Law Gazette for the Republic of Austria .
