Federal judge
In some federally organized states, federal judges are the judges at the courts sponsored by the state as a whole , in contrast to the judges at courts sponsored by subordinate regional authorities (states, federal states, cantons, etc.).
The term federal judge is used here, among other things:
- in Germany, see federal judges (Germany)
- in the US, see federal judges (United States)
- in Switzerland for the full-time judges at the Swiss Federal Supreme Court , but not for the judges at the Swiss Federal Administrative Court or the Federal Criminal Court
