Federal brother

As a fraternity brother or Federal sister among themselves members call themselves an organization claiming to be federal or as one of the traditional historical, religious or charismatic understands elements embossed community. The salutation can be a demonstrative expression of a life union among the members and is used in student associations and some youth associations .

In men's associations , the wives who cannot be members are often referred to as federal sisters .

Bundesbruder is abbreviated to BB , Bb or Bbr , as plural BbrBbr or modern Bbr² .

Corps brother

Within a corps , a particularly old form of student union, the members address each other as corps brothers . The term can be abbreviated as Cbr . The plural form CbrCbr , which was used until the 1920s , has been abolished. The wives of the corps brothers are called corps sisters .
