The Bundesverband Fuhrparkmanagement e. V. ( BVF for short ) is a German association of vehicle fleet managers based in Mannheim . The association, founded in 2010, represents the interests of its members who operate fleets between 5 and over 50,000 vehicles. According to its own information, it was the first association founded by fleet operators in Germany.

The association regularly comments on current topics in specialist magazines, for example in the magazine Firmenauto .

history

The Federal Association of Fleet Management was founded on October 27, 2010. In 2014 the Dekra Academy and the Federal Association published official examination regulations for their course to become a certified fleet manager.

goals and tasks

The Federal Association of Fleet Management has the following goals and tasks:

  • Representation of interests for members in all political questions relating to fleet and mobility management
  • Providing a platform for members, promoting the exchange of experiences
  • Support of its members with the latest know-how for the vehicle fleet, for example by accessing document templates (e.g. user contracts) and providing legal or tax information
  • Development and maintenance of a qualification profile for vehicle fleet management and support for training to become a certified vehicle fleet manager (Dekra), accompanied by the quality of the association; Preparation of the relevant examination regulations in cooperation with the Dekra
  • Support of regional groups and initiatives of fleet managers to develop common networks

Association structure

Members

The association has around 500 company members from all sectors of the economy. Numerous municipalities and municipal companies are also affiliated with the association. Members include companies such as Axel Springer Services & Immobilien (Berlin), Bankhaus Metzler (Frankfurt am Main), Cancom (Munich), Kaeferisolation technology (Bremen) and KPMG (Berlin) as well as FC Schalke 04 (Gelsenkirchen).

organization

The association maintains an office at its headquarters in Mannheim and a representative office in Berlin. He is registered in the lobby list of the German Bundestag. In addition to the board, the association is represented by a managing director. In addition, four specialist speakers work for the association.
