The Federal Association for Free Chambers eV ( BffK ) is a nationwide organization of members of the chambers of industry and commerce (IHK) and the chambers of crafts (HWK). The BffK calls for changes to the laws regulating the law of these chambers. The seat is in Berlin, the office is in Kassel. The Bffk is an engine for the IHK rebels .

history

In November 1995 an interest group was formed. This led to the founding of a registered association on March 14, 1996 under the name “IHK Denier eV”. One of the initiators was the businessman and member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament, Helmut Plüschau . On January 1, 2009, the rapidly growing association was renamed the “Federal Association for Free Chambers”. Since August 1st, 2009 there is Kai Boeddinghaus, the first full-time federal manager of the federal association.

organization

The association is represented by the chairman Frank Lasinski and his deputy Christian Anhalt. Frank Lasinski was a member of the general assembly of the IHK Cottbus. The federal manager Kai Boeddinghaus is a member of the plenary assembly of the IHK Kassel-Marburg and ran for election to the chamber president. More than 100 members represent the goals of the BffK in plenary assemblies of over 20 different chambers, most of them in Hamburg, Stuttgart, Berlin and Kassel. There are more than 1300 direct members nationwide (as of 2010) and 500 members of the sub-associations from all 79 IHK and 53 HWK districts.

aims

Because of the heterogeneous motives of the members, the association formulates the goals in a few key points. The goals are changes in the law, with the result that

  1. the compulsory membership ends and membership in chambers is free,
  2. the activities of the chambers are reduced to purely sovereign tasks,
  3. the elections meet democratic standards,
  4. one reduces the number of chambers and
  5. the contributions decrease.

activities

The association has been issuing a chamber report annually since 2012. To this end, the newsletter “Der Kammerjäger” appears at irregular intervals and carries out press work nationwide. A draft law on the law of the chambers has been drawn up and an EU complaint has been submitted. In addition, a petition was sent to the European Parliament, which was referred to the Peition Committees of the Austrian National Council and the German Bundestag in April 2015. The federal association supports its members in

  • Questions about contribution notices to IHKs or HWKs,
  • Formulation of contradictions,
  • Disputes with a chamber,
  • Mediation proceedings with a chamber,
  • for regional campaigns and
  • Support of the entrepreneurs initiative against S21 .
